Personal Cardiac Telemonitoring System
From student projects, the concept was developed and matured over several years. Funding from "Proof-of-Concept" grant (administered by A*Star) brought the development into a clinical evaluation model. The whole system was then successfully clinically tested at the National Heart Centre 2006-2007. The commercial partner was a start-up company Nextwave Biomedical Pte Ltd.

Clip-on IV Drip Rate Monitor
In collabroation with the School of Health Science, the problem of accurate drip-rate setting in intravenous infusion was resolved with the development of a small battery operated device that detects the drip-rate between two consecutive drops. Further development is being planned to transformed the prototype product into a proof-of-concept device that can be clinical tested in a hospital. |
