We work closely with key industry partners to develop new products or inventions for industry needs, including proto-typing products and collaboration work in the area of intellectual property development and commercialization of the products.
There are various initiatives and schemes available to help our staff, students and alumni members with commercially viable ideas. We do this to start up their ideas through co-funding in pre-seed stage and incubating them before they are ready for commercialisation. These provide opportunities for every individual to realise his or her innovative and entrepreneurial potential. We play a key part in forging partnerships and facilitating intellectual property exchange to the marketplace.

Our management team facilitates and nurtures new start-ups founded by NP students, staff and alumni members. It offers support services and business networks that add value to start-ups. By leveraging on NP’s intellectual property, domain expertise and incubator facilities, the management team encourages the success of new businesses and they eventually venture into foreign markets

Since our inception in 1996, we have more than 10 start-up companies. Many are in the pipelines for new spin-off companies. Today, these start-up companies have ventured successfully into the regional markets with an established strong clientele based in Indonesia, Thailand, China, Malaysia, Taiwan, Brunei, Hong Kong, Japan, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, India, Europe and U.S.A.
We also work closely with government-related agencies to fund our new start-ups. For example, Spring Singapore co-funded our student venture company, Progeniq Pte Ltd. It was set up with a total fund of $80,000 with the aim of commercialising the super-chip, developed by a five-man team.
