Factory Visit to UTAC

• Date: 27 Jul 2006
• The batch of 40 MicroE students doing the final-year project (MPD) visited the United Test and Assembly Center Ltd (UTAC) on 27 July 2006. The group was led by Mr Lim KY, Ms Kok LF and Mr Ong MT. A briefing on the Overview of UTAC and Memory Test Operation was given. The trip was even more fruitful with a tour to the Memory Test Operation Section. A wonderful refreshment was hosted by the company and students were eager to find out the career opportunities at UTAC.

Dragon Boat Regatta

• We won the bronze prize at The Dragon Regatta 05 held at Kallang River! The ECE student team comprises 22 MIDAC students & 2 from Computer Option. In the qualifying round, we ranked No 2 behind the Canoeing Club, among other teams are, ICT Society, EE Society, Football Club, Outward Bound, Adventure Seeker Club and Track & Field.

Magic of Microelectronics

• At MIDAC, the lecturers believe that learning can be fun. Through our annual “Magic of Microelectronics” event, students learn that the concepts in microelectronics can be as fun as – MAGIC!

Student Orientation

• The students of the Microelectronics(uE) option and lecturers undergoing the uE orientation camp. The bonding developed between students and lecturers during these camps make a more conducive learning environment in MIDAC

Leadership Training
